Easyimate / Before and after ads
Before and after ads that show the change
Describe the old way and your new way. Easyimate animates the before as a grey, crooked pile of steps and the cost it brings, sweeps it away in your colour, and shows the same job done your way, step by step, with a side-by-side scoreboard, a voiceover, music and captions.
Pick the Old way vs new way look when Easyimate suggests styles, or name it in your brief.

A 34-second ad for a made-up home-services app, from the brief below.
From a brief to a before and after
The brief behind the ad above. Harbor Lane is a made-up company, and the numbers came from the brief.
“A 30-second ad for Harbor Lane Home Services, a fictional company: one app that connects homeowners selling a house with vetted contractors, inspectors and movers. Use the old way vs new way look. The old way: call five contractors, chase quotes by email, print and sign forms, wait days for approvals, and get a surprise repair bill at closing. Then the switch to Harbor Lane: book everyone in the app, compare quotes side by side, sign on your phone, and close on time. Show a scoreboard: time to get the house market-ready, 6 weeks vs 10 days; calls to make, 14 vs 1. … Brand colour teal.”
Easyimate planned the scenes and showed key frames first; after the video was made, one round of changes fixed a label and shortened the end card.
What a before and after can compare
The strongest comparisons are about the job, not the customer's body or looks: something your product removes, shortens or joins up.
Steps
Five calls, three tools and a pile of forms, against one flow that checks itself off.
From quote to signed in one afternoon.
Time
Weeks against days, hours against minutes, with the number counting up in red and landing in your colour.
Month-end close in two days, not ten.
Cost and surprises
Fees, rework and last-minute bills on one side; a fixed price on the other.
No more surprise repair bills at closing.
Everyone connected
A tangle of separate people and tools turning into spokes around your product.
Agents, inspectors and movers in one app.
Us vs them
Your way against the usual way in your industry, on a scoreboard of facts you can stand behind.
Same-day payouts, not 30-day invoices.
Easyimate or a before-and-after template?
| Easyimate | Ad example libraries and template editors | |
|---|---|---|
| You provide | The old way, your way and the numbers | Two photos, or text typed into a template's slots |
| What moves | Every step, check and number is animated in time with the voice | Usually a slider, a wipe or two still frames |
| Voice and sound | Natural voiceover, music and sound effects mixed in; captions on screen and as an SRT file | Add and sync your own |
| Formats | 9:16 for Reels and TikTok, 1:1 for feeds, 16:9 for YouTube and your site | One layout per template |
| Changes | In plain words ("slower on the scoreboard", "add our logo") | Edit each element by hand |
A photo before-and-after (a room, a garden, a car) is quicker in a photo editor. When the change is a process and you want it explained, Easyimate fits better. See also animated ads, SaaS explainer videos and motion graphics.
Questions
What is a before and after ad?
An ad that shows how things were before your product and how they are after it. For a service or software, the before is usually the slow, messy way people do the job today and the after is the same job done your way, so the difference sells the product.
What is a comparison ad?
An ad that compares two ways of doing something, or two products, side by side. Easyimate makes the kind that compares the old way with your way. If you want to name a competitor, keep every claim factual and checkable; comparative advertising is regulated in many countries.
Can I run before and after ads on Facebook and Instagram?
Meta's Advertising Standards restrict before-and-after images in ads for weight loss, health and cosmetic procedures (checked October 30, 2026); check the current standards for your category. A before and after of a process, like time saved, steps removed or calls avoided, is a different kind of comparison. You download the video and run it yourself.
Will it invent numbers?
No. The scoreboard uses the numbers you give. Without numbers, Easyimate compares in words, such as "by phone" against "in the app", or leaves the scoreboard out. You see every line of the script in the plan before anything is made.
How much does it cost?
Planning is free. You pay for the final length of the video: a 30-second ad uses half a minute of video time. Plans start at $19 a month for 15 minutes of video, and extra time starts at $2.99 a minute. Your first video can be a one-time $2.99 (up to 5 minutes, 1080p).
