Easyimate / Map animation

Map animation, from a sentence

Describe the map video you need — a trade route, a company's locations, where a story happens. Easyimate draws the countries and states from real boundary data, animates routes and labels, and adds narration, music and captions. No keyframes, no map software.

Brief · history channel · 16:9

“A 45-second animated map video about the Silk Road, for a history YouTube channel. Start on a dark world map, zoom to China and highlight it, then draw the main route stroke by stroke with a glowing line and a moving caravan dot from Chang'an (Xi'an) through Dunhuang, Kashgar, Samarkand and Baghdad to Constantinople, labelling each city as the line reaches it… Calm documentary narration, accurate geography from real map data, warm gold route on deep blue.”

Questions

How do I make an animated map video?

Describe the video: which countries, states or cities, the route or the story, how long it should be and the look you want. Easyimate writes the narration and plans each scene, shows you key frames to check, and then animates the map with voiceover, music and captions. You can change the plan for free before the video is made.

Are the maps accurate?

Yes. Countries, US states and coastlines are drawn from real boundary data (Natural Earth and US Census map files), and cities are placed by latitude and longitude with the same map projection. The look is up to you: flat, dark, hand-drawn on a whiteboard or styled to your brand colours.

Can it animate a travel route?

Yes. A route can draw itself between cities with a moving marker, labels appear as it reaches each stop, and the camera can zoom from the whole world to a region. Easyimate makes narrated map explainers; it does not import GPS tracks or use satellite imagery or Street View.

Can I make vertical map videos for TikTok or Shorts?

Yes. Pick 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube, or 1:1 and 4:3. The map and labels are laid out for the format you choose.

How much does it cost?

You pay for the finished length. The first video is free (up to 2 minutes, 720p, small watermark). Plans start at $19 a month for 15 minutes of video, up to 4K with no watermark. How that compares with a studio.
