What goes into a good trailer
Easyimate plans the trailer the way a publisher's marketing team would, then shows you every line and scene before anything is made.
The hook
One line in the first three seconds that makes a reader want more.
The world and the hero
Who it's about and where, in two or three scenes drawn in the book's mood.
The stakes
What could go wrong — without giving away the ending.
Title, author, where to buy
Your cover, the title, your name and the store or website, held long enough to read.
Looks for every genre
Say the look in your brief, or name the genre and let Easyimate pick.
Watercolour picture book
Soft washes and pencil, like a classic storybook — for gentle children's books and fables.
Bold moving type
Big words on the voice, for hooks, quotes and reviews. See kinetic typography.
Archive and history
Old photos, maps and letters on a light table, for historical fiction and history books.

Questions
What is a book trailer?
A short video, usually 30 to 90 seconds, that sells a book the way a film trailer sells a film: the hook, the world, the main character and what's at stake, then the title, the author and where to buy it. Authors share them on social media, their website, Amazon author pages and in newsletters.
How do I make a book trailer with Easyimate?
Paste your blurb or a few sentences about the book, the genre and the age group, and say how long the trailer should be. On a paid plan, attach the cover. Easyimate writes the trailer script and plans every scene with key frames, which you can change for free. Then you pick a narrator and it animates the trailer with music and sound effects.
Can it use my book's cover and illustrations?
Yes, on a paid plan you can attach up to 8 images per message — the cover, illustrations or author photo — and Easyimate places them in the trailer, for example ending on the cover. It doesn't redraw or change your artwork.
What looks work for book trailers?
Watercolour or crayon picture-book looks for children's books, cinematic footage and elegant titles for thrillers, romance and non-fiction, bold moving type for hooks and quotes, and archive photos for history. Say the look in your brief, or let Easyimate pick one for the genre.
How much does it cost?
Planning is free. You pay for the final length of the video: a 60-second trailer uses one minute of video time. Your first video can be a one-time $2.99 (up to 5 minutes, 1080p), so a first trailer costs $2.99. Plans start at $19 a month for 15 minutes of video.
